I've been making my cat's food from scratch for 3 years. I genuinely thought I had it figured out. I was already giving my cat a taurine supplement so I was skeptical about switching. But that one had 8 other ingredients in it and when something changed or didn't I had no idea what was doing what. This is just taurine. One thing. My cat has been on it for 6 weeks and I actually know what's working now because there's nothing else in it. That sounds obvious but it completely changes how you track what's happening

Switched my cats to grain-free 2 years ago and felt great about it until I started reading about taurine variability in these diets. Spent a week trying to figure out if their food had enough. It doesn't. Nobody's does consistently. Started this 5 weeks ago. The one who was eating less is back to finishing her bowl and the one always sleeping in weird spots is back on the couch with us. I don't know how I didn't know about this sooner

Pretty skeptical of supplements in general but my 12 year old started declining in a way that felt different from just getting older. Vet couldn't find anything specific. Started this basically out of desperation. She's not young again but she's more present than she's been in at least a year. My vet mentioned taurine levels in older cats on dry food run lower than people realise and I just wish someone had told me that two years ago
